Pitso Mosimane, the current coach of the South African national team, visited Al Ahly Club's headquarters in Gezira.
The South African national team will visit their Egyptian counterparts next Sunday at 9:00 PM at Cairo International Stadium.
Al Ahly Club's official account published photos from Mosimane's visit to the club's headquarters, where he was received by club board members Sayed Abdel Hafeez and Tarek Qandil.
Accompanying Mosimane during the visit were Markus Machilo, the South African national team's goalkeeping coach, along with Kapello Rangoga and Musi Matlaba, who previously worked within Al Ahly's technical staff during Mosimane's tenure.
Mosimane expressed his great happiness at visiting the club, emphasizing that Al Ahly holds a special place for him, and that his visit to the club's headquarters and Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium brought back many distinctive memories shared with the players, administrative staff, and fans.
At the conclusion of the visit, Tarek Qandil and Sayed Abdel Hafeez presented Mosimane and his companions with an Al Ahly Club shield and jersey. In return, Mosimane gifted the South African national team jersey to Qandil and Abdel Hafeez, in an atmosphere reflecting the strong relationships he shares with the club's officials.
Mosimane took charge of coaching Al Ahly in 2020, leading them to two consecutive CAF Champions League titles, as well as bronze medals in the last two FIFA Club World Cup editions.
He also won the Egypt Cup with Al Ahly in 2020, and the CAF Super Cup twice.
However, he lost the league title last season, and failed to retain the continental title for a third consecutive year, losing to Wydad AC in the final.
