Alexander-Arnold participated in England's 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League.
Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports: "It was great, it is always an honor to represent my country, and I enjoy it immensely."
He added, "It has been a long time, but I have always believed that I could play for England, and I have always wanted to."
He continued, "The confidence has always been there, and it comes down to proving it at club level. The manager gave me the opportunity tonight to play and try to execute what he asked of me as best as I could. I hope he is happy with what I delivered."
Regarding the match and England's performance, he said: "I think the performance was good. When they get sent off and are reduced to ten men, the pressure on us to win increases, but in reality, it makes things more difficult. They become more compact and defend with many players, we possess the ball a lot, but it is hard to break through their defense."
He went on, "We managed to score early in the second half, which is what we needed. The longer the match stayed at 0-0, the harder things became, and their belief in their ability to hold out grew, so it was good to score the second goal."
About Gordon's goal, which he assisted himself, he said: "I spoke with Anthony Gordon at halftime, and I told him that if I am going to be in the half-spaces and deliver crosses, he needs to make sure he gets to the far post."
He added, "You don't expect it to happen that quickly, but it did, and it worked out."
He concluded his comments, "He is a player who moves constantly, and it is great to play with him. I get the ball, try to lift my head and see the best option, then try to pass it forward. I saw his run and managed to deliver the pass."
