Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazilian national team, confirmed that he rejected coaching Italy during the past period, indicating that his mission with Brazil has not been completed yet.
Ancelotti said in statements to the "ESPN" network: "The matter is not related to the contract, this is not the reason, the reason is my commitment to the Brazilian Federation and this country because they received me with great hospitality during my first year".
He added: "I want to stay here, I thanked the Italian Federation, but I see that it is right and fair to stay in a country that received me with all this warmth and in an institution that gave me the opportunity to work".

He continued about his evaluation of Brazil's participation in the World Cup: "The result was not good, we disappointed everyone and we feel sad, but we must look to the future with another eye, because this country is full of talented players and we can build a bright future".
The Italian Federation had decided to appoint Roberto Mancini as coach of the team, after both Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti refused to coach the Azzurri and the collapse of talks with Andrea Pirlo.
