Hussein Ammouta, Al-Ahly's coach, emphasized that his team achieved the required objective in the match against ZED, noting that players' mistakes are diminishing over time.
Al-Ahly defeated ZED 2-0 on Friday evening in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League, raising the Red Devils' points tally to 6.
Ammouta stated in the post-match press conference: "The match against ZED was tough and challenging against a strong team, but we delivered an excellent performance, succeeded in avoiding conceding goals, and could have scored more."
He added: "In the coming period, things will improve further as the players' readiness increases."
He clarified: "During the second half, conditions improved significantly, and we created numerous opportunities that we will work to exploit better in the upcoming period."
He continued: "The players' performance was good, which is expected at the start of the season, especially since we achieved the match's objective. All players were outstanding, particularly Koka and Taher."
He further remarked: "Some players needed rest after spending a long period with the national team, which necessitates relying on all squad members until the remaining players reach the required level."
He went on: "Al-Ahly competes for every trophy and requires the efforts of all players; renewing contracts for many names represents a very important addition."
The Moroccan coach concluded his remarks by saying: "Mistakes are decreasing over time, and there is a state of intense focus aimed at achieving the best results to win trophies."
