Amouta Conference: We could have scored more than two goals against ZD... and everyone will participate.

Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouata of Al-Ahly expressed his satisfaction following the victory over ZED in the league competition.

Al-Ahly secured their second win by defeating ZED 2-0 in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League in a match held at Cairo Stadium.

Hussein Ammouata said in a press conference: "We expected the match to be difficult, as there are no easy games. We delivered a strong performance except for the last 10 minutes of the first half, which witnessed a lack of focus and complacency, leading to some mistakes."

He added, "Today's match was good, and we could have scored more than two goals. We faced an organized opponent with very fast forwards, so it was natural to face attacks against us, but we managed to keep a clean sheet."

He explained, "Koka and Taher Mohamed Taher are very important players with great potential. Taher performed well today, as did Koka, and both have been with us since the beginning of the preparation period. Everyone will participate, and Al-Ahly is competing for all titles."

He continued, "The international players trained with us for only three weeks, unlike the rest of the squad who underwent a longer preparation period. No player is immune from making mistakes in a match, and not all players have reached full fitness yet; perhaps this disparity led to some players participating for more than 70 minutes."

Responding to a question about contract renewals for Marwan Atia and Imam Ashour, he said: "This is a positive development. Perhaps an injury delayed Imam's integration with the team, but the squad needs all players to be fully fit. We also have Ashraf Dari and Reda Salem, and we are working on preparing everyone."

Concluding his remarks, he stated: "The disparity in players' joining dates for the preparation period, along with our commitment to the training camp in Spain, did not allow us sufficient time to implement all the tactical ideas I aim to apply. Today's match did not witness many errors like the previous one, and we may have reached 60 to 65 percent of our potential level."

Ashraf Bencharqi and Taher Mohamed Taher scored Al-Ahly's two goals.

Al-Ahly raised their points total to 6, alongside Al-Masry, Pyramids, and Talaie El-Gaish.

Meanwhile, ZED remained with one point after a goalless draw with Ghazl El-Mahalla in the first round.

Al-Ahly achieved their sixth consecutive victory over ZED in the league, with only one draw in their previous seven encounters.

Al-Ahly will face Smouha next Thursday in the third round.

Meanwhile, ZED will play against Talaie El-Gaish next Tuesday at 5:00 PM.
