Al-Nassr maintained its home winning streak against Al-Taawoun with a 2-1 victory in a match held at "The First Park" as part of the fourth round of the Saudi League.
"The Global Club" secured its fourth consecutive win, retaining the top spot in the Roshn Saudi League with 12 points, ahead of Al-Hilal, who have 9 points and a postponed match against Al-Ahli.
On the other hand, Al-Taawoun failed to secure its first win in the new season, having drawn twice and lost twice as well, leaving them with only two points in 15th place.
The match saw Al-Taawoun take the lead through Bassam Al-Hurayji in the 11th minute of the first half.
In response, Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa scored the equalizer for "The Capital's Yellow Team" in the 45+5th minute.
The Portuguese star and captain of Al-Nassr then scored a historic goal for his team in the 50th minute.
This goal made Ronaldo Al-Nassr's all-time top scorer with 104 goals, surpassing Al-Sahlawi, who has 103 goals.
Ronaldo is now close to scoring his 1,000th professional career goal, having netted his 978th, leaving him just 22 goals away.
Al-Nassr is scheduled to play their next match against Al-Ittihad in the highlight of the fifth round, which will take place on September 5th in Jeddah.
Meanwhile, Al-Taawoun will host their rival Al-Fateh on September 5th as part of the same round's matches.
