Ali Mahmoud, the first-team player of Al Ahly Club, revealed his ambitions with the Red Castle during the new season, in addition to his preferred position and the atmosphere in the Spain camp before facing Barcelona.
Mahmoud said in statements via Al Ahly's media center: "Basically I play in the 8 position, but last season with Enppi I played most of the matches as 10, because that was the coach's way and he needs this position, and I can also play 6".
He added: "Playing for Al Ahly is of course different; you need focus and how to move with the ball in tight spaces and between the lines, because you will face that a lot in league matches or in matches in general".
He continued: "I have played on difficult pitches and faced difficult atmospheres, and this helped me when I played on better pitches and in better atmospheres, and I do not need time or matches to get into the atmosphere".
He added: "When I enter the pitch, I do not focus on anything except executing the task I entered to achieve; I do not focus on the media or social media, these things prevent you from focusing".
He continued: "My personal goals are to be in the Egypt national team and to be able to help in general, and my goals with Al Ahly are to win any tournament we participate in, and this is the ambition of all of us, which the fans deserve after what happened last season".

He continued: "Wael Gomaa and Hussein Ammouta have a big role in the camp, whether in training or at the hotel; the atmosphere is good, I did not expect it to be like this, and the technical staff focuses greatly on the training sessions".
He went on: "Barcelona is a big team, but we are Al Ahly Club; in any match we play, our goal must be to win, and this is the fans' ambition. We never look at the opponent's name; at any time on the pitch we must win, whether against Barcelona or any team".
He continued: "We are focused on ourselves, and of course captain El-Shennawy is focused on the team, and everyone is focusing to reconcile with the fans, and the senior players have a big role with us and help us a lot and bring the team together".
He concluded: "My role model is Mohamed Aboutrika, and Al Ahly fans have a big role in being present with us, supporting us and backing us, and he is the number one player; his presence behind the team helps it win titles and facilitates matters".
