Ali Mahmoud, Al Ahly midfielder, revealed the most prominent instructions that Hussein Amouta, the team's technical director, gives to the players during the preparation camp currently held in Spain, in preparation for the new season.
Ali Mahmoud said in statements via the official Al Ahly account: "Amouta's instructions focus on commitment in the defensive and offensive aspects, and that the player be ready for any offensive or defensive transformation, and that he be extremely focused and able to read the situation, and that he be prepared and not surprised by anything, so that he has the ability to work well inside the field and each player commits to his position".
He added: "Amouta also focuses on playing between the lines and how to handle the ball in tight spaces, because these matters the player will face to a very large extent during matches".
The Al Ahly player spoke about the atmosphere of the camp, explaining: "The atmosphere of the camp is very good, whether from Hussein Amouta or Wael Gomaa, and I did not expect the atmosphere to be like this, training is the most important thing for us, and I hope from God for success in the coming period".
Regarding his position on the field, he explained: "Basically I play in the 8 position, but with Enppi I played in the 10 position, and the coach saw that I am able to perform well in this position, but my basic position is 6 or 8".
Ali Mahmoud: Barcelona match is difficult
Ali Mahmoud touched on the upcoming match against Barcelona, saying: "The Barcelona match is difficult, but we are Al Ahly, and our goal is to win any match, and we do not look at the size of the team we face".
He concluded: "El-Shennawy is leading the team well, and everyone is focused on the need to reconcile with the fans and achieve titles, and the senior players have a big role with us in that and help us focus".
Ali Mahmoud also spoke about his return to Al Ahly after leaving the club at a young age, saying: "I felt very frustrated after leaving Al Ahly when I was young, I was a child and did not realize that there was another opportunity to return and be present again, my return again is a blessing from God".
