Australian coach Ange Postecoglou of Al-Nassr is awaiting the participation of left-back Saad Al-Nasser in Wednesday's group training session, following the completion of his rehabilitation program, according to Saudi newspaper Ar-Riyadhia.
Al-Nasser suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out of training, and subsequently underwent a treatment and rehabilitation program, with his return to group training scheduled for Wednesday, as announced by his club last week.
Before the injury, Al-Nasser participated in five matches, four of which were in the Saudi Pro League and one in the AFC Champions League Elite.
Tuesday's training session showed the readiness of Frenchman Kingsley Coman and Abdulrahman Ghareeb after recovering from injuries.
The Australian coach also utilized ten players from the youth categories in training to cover the squad's shortage due to international call-ups for several players.
The players are: goalkeepers Sultan Al-Mas and Abdulhadi Al-Alwan, defenders Awad Eman and Yousef Al-Tahan, midfield trio Bassam Hazazi, Yassin Salam, and Khalid Al-Muhayni, and attacking trio Saad Haqawi, Abdulrahman Al-Anazi, and Abdulrahman Safyani.
Al-Nassr's preparation schedule includes a friendly match against Al-Anwar next Saturday.
Al-Nassr will resume its defense of the Saudi Pro League title on October 9 when it faces Diriyah at Al-Awwal Park as part of the eighth round of competitions.
