An off-pitch summit between Al Ahly and Zamalek, driven here by the marketing value of the two rivals, as the "Red Team" tops the list of the highest-valued clubs in the Egyptian Premier League this season, according to the latest update.
The global website "Transfermarkt" published the latest update on the market values of Egyptian Premier League clubs, which saw Al Ahly continue to lead the rankings, while Zamalek's market value declined.
Zamalek's decline came after the departure of their Brazilian player Juan Beizera to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, widening the gap between Egypt's football giants to nearly one and a half times.
In contrast, Pyramids FC maintained its second-place ranking, especially as the "Sky Blues" management strengthened the squad during the past summer transfer window with new signings, most notably the Algerian arrival Nadhir Ben Bou Ali.
Regarding the players with the highest market value, Imam Ashour, an Al Ahly player, leads the ranking with an estimated value of five million euros, followed by his teammate Marwan Attia in second place with four and a half million euros.
It is worth noting that the Al Ahly vs. Zamalek match is scheduled for next Sunday (October 11) at Cairo Stadium, serving as the headline fixture of Round 6 of the league competition for the 2026-27 season.
