Allowing players to participate with two clubs in tournaments.. The African Union announces amendments to its regulations
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced a set of amendments to the continental competitions' regulations through a statement.
The amendments are as follows:
*Allowing players to participate with more than one club during the same season of African club competitions.
*Each club has the right to register up to 40 players at any stage of the season, as well as replace 4 players during the final registration period, provided that these players have not participated in any match in African club competitions.
*Transferring disciplinary matters to the Disciplinary Committee instead of the Competitions Committee.
Zamalek and Pyramids represent Egypt in the Champions League, while Al Ahly and Zed FC compete in the Confederation Cup.
Zamalek is scheduled to face their opponent AS Kigali (Rwanda Army) in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the Champions League.
The first leg will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 16, at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda.
It was decided that the second leg will take place on Saturday, October 24, at 8:00 PM at Cairo Stadium.
On the other hand, Pyramids will play against Al-Merrikh Bentiu, the champion of South Sudan. The first leg will be played on Friday, October 16, at 3:30 PM at Juba Stadium, and the second leg on Saturday, October 24, at 8:00 PM at Air Defense Stadium.
