Libya's Al-Ahli Tripoli club officially announced the signing of Fakhri Lakaï, former Ceramica Cleopatra player, to strengthen the squad during the ongoing summer transfer window.

The official Facebook page of Libya's Al-Ahli Tripoli club posted a photo of the player wearing the team jersey, captioning it: "South African Fakhri Lakaï strengthens the ranks of the Leader with a two-season contract."

Al-Ahli Tripoli did not announce any details regarding the deal to sign Lakaï, who is coming from Ceramica Cleopatra, a club that previously signed Slovenian striker Nete Gradišar on loan from Al-Ahli.

Fakhri Lakaï will join Congolese star Fiston Mayele in Al-Ahli Tripoli's attack, with Mayele having joined the team on a free transfer after his contract with his previous club, Pyramids, expired.

Al-Ahli Tripoli, managed by Egyptian coach Hossam El-Bdri, is considered one of the fiercest competitors in the upcoming edition of the African Confederation Cup, which also features Al-Ahli from Egypt and Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia.

It is worth noting that 29-year-old Fakhri Lakaï began his career in Egyptian football through Pyramids, joining the club more than four years ago, before moving to Ceramica Cleopatra for the first time two seasons ago.
