Barcelona Spanish reached an agreement with Club Brugge Belgian to sign its young winger, after negotiations between the two parties continued for more than 6 months, according to the newspaper "Sport" Catalan.
In the end, the two clubs agreed to complete the transfer deal for the Belgian Jessi Pessou, for about 10 million euros, with Brugge retaining 30% of the value of any future transfer of the player.

And Brugge finally gave in, despite Pessou's contract extending until 2027, after the player expressed a strong desire to wear the Barcelona shirt, and refused to renew his contract.
The Catalan club considers the deal a strategic investment for the future, given its conviction that the player possesses the capabilities that qualify him to become a global star, thanks to his great speed, technical skills, and ability to make a difference.
Journalist Sasha Tavolieri confirmed that the agreement between Barcelona and Brugge has become final, and procedures were accelerated in the last hours. Official documents are currently being prepared, and Pessou will travel next week to Barcelona to undergo a medical examination, before joining the first team's training camp in preparation for the new season.

The Belgian player will play with the reserve team, but he will also participate with the first team under the leadership of coach Hans Flick, as part of the club's plan to accelerate his development process.
Pessou greatly impressed Barcelona officials after his recent participation with the Belgian national team in the World Cup under 20 years old, which was held in Qatar. There, he caught the attention of the Catalan club's scouts, alongside Hamza Abdel Karim, whom Barcelona also succeeded in signing.
