Tottenham Hotspur has suffered a heavy blow to its squad after one of its defenders sustained an injury during the current international break, when players are with their national teams.
Tottenham is clearly struggling with results this season as the team prepares for a highly anticipated match against Manchester United in the Premier League following the end of the international break.
In this context, it has been confirmed that Tottenham defender Jan Paul van Hecke is injured, with the Royal Dutch Football Association announcing that the player will not remain with the Oranje camp.

The Royal Dutch Football Association's account on the platform "X" confirmed that Van Hecke will not travel with his Netherlands teammates to Thessaloniki to face Greece tomorrow, Thursday, as part of the UEFA Nations League.
The Dutch association stated in its announcement that Van Hecke was injured during the Netherlands' match against Serbia last Sunday, September 27, which the Netherlands won 2-1.
Van Hecke is the second Tottenham defender to be lost recently due to injury, after right-back Pedro Porro got injured during Spurs' match against Aston Villa in the fifth round of the Premier League.
