Adi Al-Dabbagh, the Zamalek striker, spoke about becoming the all-time top scorer for the Palestinian national team.
During the current international break, Al-Dabbagh scored 4 goals in 3 matches, starting with a goal against New Zealand, then scoring another against Tajikistan, before finishing with a brace against China. The Jerusalem-born player raised his tally to 21 goals for Al-Fida'i, making him their all-time top scorer.
Al-Dabbagh said in comments to ON Sport channel: "Representing the Palestinian national team is a source of pride for me. The last camp was successful by all measures, both personally and collectively, and we managed to achieve what was expected of us."
He added: "The recent period for the Palestinian national team has witnessed significant development, and I see it as the most successful for me. We always play for the benefit of the national team."
He concluded: "Becoming the all-time top scorer for the Palestinian national team is a great honor and increases my responsibility. I hope to help the team in the Asian Cup, as it is the most important tournament."
Adi Al-Dabbagh began his journey with the Palestinian national team in the 2023 season, through the door of the Asian Cup.
He scored three goals at the Qatar 2023 Asian Cup, opening his account against Iran, before delivering a decisive performance in Palestine's final group stage match against Hong Kong, China.
