Abdelmonem missed the entire last season due to a cruciate ligament tear in his knee in April 2025.
Nice's official account published a photo of Abdelmonem running alone, under the title "Our Egyptian is back."
A source from Nice club explained in exclusive statements to FilGoal.com that Mohamed Abdelmonem will return to training individually.
Abdelmonem is linked to a contract with Nice until the summer of 2028.
Nice will play 3 friendly matches in preparation for the new season against Juventus tomorrow, Friday, against Cagliari on August 8, and Hull City on August 15.
Nice opens its matches in the new season against Lorient on August 22.
Abdelmonem was included in the Egypt national team squad for the 2026 World Cup.
He played one match against Iran in the third round of the group stage before being injured in the 14th minute.
He also came on as a substitute in the match against New Zealand in the final minute of the match in the second round of the group stage.
Abdelmonem joined Nice in the summer of 2024, coming from Al Ahly in a deal worth $4 million.
