Uzbekistan national team player Eldor Shomurodov won the best goal award in the group stage after a fan vote.
Eight goals were selected as the best in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, so that their scorers compete for the best award, including the duo Kylian Mbappé of the France national team and Lionel Messi of the Argentina national team.
"FIFA" opened the voting to fans for 48 hours to vote for the best goal among the 8 goals before announcing the winner.
There will be three other voting rounds following the same process: the next round after the round of 16, another round after the quarter-finals and semi-finals (together), then a final vote at the end of the tournament.
