French newspaper L'Équipe reported that this file will be strongly present in the quarter-finals, especially in the anticipated match between France and Morocco, as the two teams will enter the match amid fears of losing a number of key elements before the semi-finals.
The Moroccan national team is the most affected, after five of its players have become threatened with suspension, namely: Achraf Hakimi, Azzedine Ounahi, Redwan Halhal, Bilal El Khannous, and Issa Diop.
In contrast, the French national team faces the risk of losing three of its stars, namely: Bradley Barcola, Manu Koné, and Michael Olise, if any of them receives a new yellow card.
The English national team also enters the match threatened with losing five players, namely: Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, Marc Guéhi, Nico O'Reilly, and Jordan Henderson, whose absence has been confirmed due to injury.
The list of those threatened from Switzerland includes Granit Xhaka, Denis Zakaria, and Miro Muheim, along with Norwegian Antonio Nusa, Spaniard Ferran Torres, Belgian Brandon Mechele, and Argentine Gonzalo Montiel.
