Ahmed Fattouh and Zamalek: From the Libyan Offer to the Final Decision

Via Yallakora

Mystery still surrounds the future of Ahmed Fattouh, Zamalek's left-back, after he received an offer to leave the White Knights.

The 28-year-old player has a contract with the White Club until the summer of 2027.

Al Ahly Benghazi's Offer

Samir Salah, agent of Zamalek player Ahmed Fattouh, revealed that Al Ahly Benghazi has raised its offer to buy the player at this time.

Samir Salah stated in comments via MBC Masr 2 channel: "Al Ahly Benghazi sent an offer to Zamalek three days ago for $500,000 to buy Ahmed Fattouh."

He added: "Zamalek rejected Al Ahly Benghazi's offer and requested an increase to a minimum of $700,000 to sell Fattouh. They actually sent a second offer, but the club asked for another increase to $1 million."

He continued: "Al Ahly Benghazi agreed to raise the offer and submitted one worth $1 million. They also proposed loaning Fattouh to Zamalek for $500,000 over two seasons."

He emphasized: "It is in Fattouh's interest to leave, but he is waiting for Zamalek's stance, despite the club's fluctuating financial conditions. If they do not agree, he will wait until the end of the season."

He indicated: "Zamalek has not opened the door for renewal with Fattouh yet. We offered the club a one-year extension with an exit loan to Al Ahly Benghazi, and we are awaiting the club's response."

He completed: "Zamalek asked me for an offer of $70,000. When I brought the offer to the club, the situation changed, and we are waiting for the final response tomorrow."

He concluded: "Fattouh's injury is minor; he suffered a thigh bruise and needs 48 hours to return to training. He will be present for the friendly match against South Africa."

Ahmed Suleiman's Response

Ahmed Suleiman, a member of Zamalek's board of directors, denied the statements made by Ahmed Fattouh's agent regarding a request for a specific sum of money in exchange for the left-back's transfer to one of the Libyan clubs.

Ahmed Suleiman clarified that the statements made by Ahmed Fattouh's agent concerning the club's desire to increase the value of Al Ahly Benghazi's offer to approve selling the player were incorrect.

Ahmed Suleiman posted on his personal account: "Mr. Samir, Ahmed Fattouh's agent, mentioned on the 'Al La'ib' program that Zamalek requested $700,000 for Fattouh's transfer."

The Zamalek board member added: "If you have the courage, say who from Zamalek requested this amount for Fattouh's transfer."

Zamalek's Refusal

Maher Gharib stated in comments via "Modern Mti" channel: "The relationship between Zamalek and the Libyan Al Ahly is excellent. The club's official position is clear: no approval for selling Fattouh."

He continued: "Fattouh's agent was informed of the club's decision several days ago. He is a Zamalek player, one of the team leaders, and has an influential role in the dressing room."

He added: "All respect to Fattouh and his agent. If there is anything official, we will announce it."

He stressed: "I urge Zamalek fans to ignore what circulates here and there on social media. Any talk coming from outside the club about selling Fattouh is not our responsibility."

Fattouh's Agent's Response

Samir Salah, agent of Zamalek player Ahmed Fattouh, revealed details of the offers the player received from Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi and the White Castle's management's stance on his departure in the upcoming period.

Samir Salah said in TV comments via Al Mahwar channel that Al Ahly Benghazi submitted an official offer to buy Ahmed Fattouh for $500,000, before raising it to $700,000, alongside a verbal offer reaching $1 million.

Fattouh's agent explained that the offer was officially rejected today after Hussein Labib, Zamalek's president, and Hussein El-Sayed, a board member, informed him that they did not approve the player's departure, noting that the decision was collective from the board.

He added that Ahmed Fattouh received a huge financial offer from the Libyan club, clarifying that the compensation the player would receive over two seasons equals what another player receives in ten years.

Samir Salah indicated that apologies were made to Al Ahly Benghazi for not accepting the offer. He was also informed by Hussein Labib that the file for renewing Ahmed Fattouh's contract would be handled by Hussein El-Sayed, with a meeting scheduled with the player during the nearest international break.

Fattouh's agent confirmed that the player wanted to achieve financial benefit for Zamalek through the offer, stressing that any player hearing about large financial differences between offers must calculate things carefully.

He concluded: "God willing, things will go well in the renewal file, and the player's primary desire in the Egyptian league is to continue with Zamalek."
