Hamza Abdel Karim steals the spotlight in Spanish newspapers

Spanish newspapers praised Hamza Abdel Karim, the Barcelona and Egypt national team striker, after he scored his first international goal during Egypt's 5-0 victory over South Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Hamza came on as a substitute in the final minutes of the match before scoring Egypt's fifth goal, becoming the third youngest player to score while wearing the Pharaohs' jersey.

SPORT.. He made his mark quickly

The Spanish newspaper "SPORT" highlighted Hamza Abdel Karim's first goal with the Egyptian national team, noting that the Barcelona striker succeeded in making his mark quickly after coming off the bench.

The newspaper explained that Hamza entered the match in the 87th minute replacing Omar Marmoush, before scoring in the 92nd minute by following up on teammate Osama Faisal's shot, which rebounded from the South Sudan goalkeeper, allowing him to put the ball into the net.

For its part, the newspaper "Marca" stated that Hamza Abdel Karim, the Barcelona striker, proved himself with the Egyptian national team after his first international goal.

The newspaper noted that Hamza completed Egypt's five-goal haul against South Sudan after participating in the final minutes of the match, needing only two touches before placing the ball in the net following the rebound of his teammate's shot.
