Spanish club Barcelona announced the signing of Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus from English club Arsenal.

The Catalan club indicated that it reached an agreement with Arsenal to secure the services of the Brazilian forward.

Brazilian striker Jesus signed his transfer contracts with Barcelona for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2029.

Spanish press reports indicate that Barcelona paid €10 million to sign Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian striker will wear jersey number 9 for Barcelona.

Gabriel Jesus was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on April 3, 1997. He began his football career in his hometown with Anhanguera before moving to the youth academy of Palmeiras, one of the country's biggest clubs. He made his senior team debut in March 2015, winning the Brazilian Cup with them that same year and the league title in 2016. He also earned the Brazilian League's Best Player award that year.

Jesus's outstanding performances in Brazil earned him a move to Europe; in summer 2016, he joined Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, where he appeared in 236 matches, scoring 95 goals and providing 45 assists.

In July 2022, he joined Arsenal, where he played 123 matches, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists.
