Ahmed El-Shenawy, the refereeing expert, discussed the refereeing decisions in the matches of Al-Ahly and Sharqia Enppi, and Zamalek against Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the Egyptian Premier League.
Ahmed El-Shenawy said on On Sport channel: "Al-Ahly's penalty against Sharqia Enppi was correct, and all penalties awarded in the match were valid."
He added: "Regarding Al-Ahly's penalty, Ben Cherqui took a step forward at the moment the ball was played; the defender pushed him then, having no other option because Ben Cherqui had gotten ahead of him, gained possession of the ball, and was closest to it, likely to score. Therefore, the referee's decision to award it was correct."

He continued: "Zamalek did not deserve a penalty against Al-Ittihad Alexandria because at that moment the ball touched the attacker's hand, not the defender's."
He concluded: "There were no refereeing errors in the first round of the league, and we hope this level continues."
