According to "Sky Sports", Al Ahli Jeddah inquired about Mohamed Salah's financial and sporting demands.
The same reports clarified that the negotiations are in their initial stages, and there is no agreement between the two parties yet.
It indicated that Al Ahli Jeddah wants to sign Salah as a replacement for the Algerian Riyad Mahrez, who received 14.5 million euros to terminate his contract with the Saudi club.
The Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat had previously mentioned that Al Ahli Jeddah will activate the "exit clause" with Riyad Mahrez, ending his contract with the Saudi team.
Mahrez's contract with Al Ahli Jeddah was scheduled to extend until the end of next season, but the Saudi club prefers other options according to the same newspaper.
Al Ahli Jeddah Club holds the title of the last two editions of the AFC Champions League Elite.
The Saudi club has secured a place in the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
