Maher Gharib, Director of the Media Department at Zamalek, confirmed that the club received an official offer on September 26 from Ahli Benghazi to sign team player Ahmed Fathy.

Gharib told "Modern Sports" channel: "All appreciation and respect to them. Upon receiving this offer, we contacted the player's agent and informed him of the following... There is absolutely no sale or loan for Ahmed Fathy."

When asked when the renewal of the player's contract would be opened, he continued: "The player has the right to sign in January according to FIFA laws. He is currently affiliated with Zamalek until the end of the current season."

He added: "Fathy is a player with great status within the club, and one of the team captains who is relied upon both on and off the field. The file for renewing Fathy's contract will be opened at the appropriate time, like other players in the team."

He revealed: "There was an offer at the beginning of the season which was rejected, coming from one of the Turkish clubs, and it was higher than the current offer from Ahli Benghazi. The insistence of Zamalek's management and technical staff on keeping Fathy will have a positive impact on the player."

He completed: "There are more than 8 or 9 players whose contracts are ending. Renewals will be made in a way that serves the club's interests and aligns with the services provided by each player."

When asked if the player pressured to leave after the Ahli Benghazi offer, he concluded: "Fathy, while having a national duty with the national team, certainly focuses first on Egypt. He is known for his love for Zamalek, and it is not true that he is pressuring to leave."
