Diomande was not one of the players born in Europe, but was naturally born in Côte d'Ivoire, specifically the capital Abidjan. Diomande's wonderful start in football did not differ with the national team, as he participated for the first time with Côte d'Ivoire in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Seychelles, and during the match he scored his first international goal.
