Ronaldo is playing a decisive match in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup against Croatia.
Katia Aveiro, sister of Cristiano Ronaldo, said via the Portuguese channel Sportv: "We must enjoy those moments we have lived over 20 years; I am extremely proud. I was in Qatar and now here, what a great pride. I have confidence and we will smile in the end. Ronaldo is confident and less stressed than us."
She added, "As far as I know, perhaps he will not say goodbye today, but I believe this is the moment of farewell with the Portugal national team. I say this from a reliable source. The last dance in the current World Cup."
She continued, "For smart people who love football, they certainly love Ronaldo. Whoever does not love Cristiano Ronaldo does not love football; he is the loser."
She concluded, "After everything my brother has gone through, after all the achievements my mother has made, after all the suffering we have endured, do you think these critics will interfere with our happiness? Certainly not."
