The French national team qualified for the World Cup semi-finals after defeating Morocco 2-0 in the first quarter-final match.

The French national team player said on the French channel M6: "In the moments when we left the ball to the Moroccan players, we did not feel any danger or that we had to fear this team".

He added, "They are still a team capable of making a difference because they have exceptional players, and we were at the peak of concentration and maintained it after the missed penalty kick. You can see the strength of the team; we showed solidity and determination".

He concluded, "Reaching the World Cup semi-finals for the third time? This is my second participation; it is an exceptional matter, and few generations of the French national team have had that experience".

Rabiot missed the 2018 edition in which the French roosters won the title, and lost the 2022 edition to Argentina in the final.
