Fuzinia, the goalkeeper of the Cape Verde national team, revealed that Lionel Messi is the best player in his opinion, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo and all the stars of the world due to what he offers on the field.

The Cape Verde national team is preparing to face Argentina tomorrow morning, Saturday, at one o'clock in the round of 32.

Fuzinia said via ESPN: "For me, Messi is an exceptional player, beyond any comparison, and if I had to choose the best player, it would be Messi."

He continued, "Cristiano Ronaldo is a machine, he is the greatest example of discipline, but for me, Messi is the only and unique player."

Regarding the reason for his name, he said: "I was born in 1986, and as far as I know from my father, there was a World Cup that year, the name that was supposed to be registered was Valdano, in reference to Jorge Valdano, I believe he played for Real Madrid."

He continued, "But when it came time to register the name, my father was in military service, and they did not accept the name Valdano, so my father had to send another name, and since my father and grandmother were cheering for Brazil, and my father loved Jozimar because he scored a lot of goals, that was the name that was registered, and so it remained."

He added, "When I started following football, I loved José Luis Chilavert because of the free kicks, and then I also loved Rogério Ceni, I used to take penalties and free kicks when I was young."

He revealed, "The goalkeeper I loved the most was Michel Preud'homme from Benfica, and also Gianluigi Buffon because of his positioning, and Edwin van der Sar because he was one of the first goalkeepers who excelled at playing with his feet."

He concluded, "Ronaldinho is loved everywhere, and Ronaldo the phenomenon is too, but for me, Messi is a player of a special class, anywhere, and if I had to choose a role model from the forwards, it would be Messi."

The Cape Verde national team qualified as the second place in Group H with three points from three draws in Cape Verde's first participation in the World Cup.
