Mohamed Salah said via his official Instagram account: "I know you are still feeling sad, but I promise you that I will do everything in my power so that this is a new beginning for Egyptian football on the international stage".
He continued: "Qualifying for the World Cup alone will not be enough, and even just participating will not be enough for us".
He concluded: "This team deserves your trust, and we will work with all our strength to achieve what the Egyptian public is waiting for".
Mohamed Salah participated with the Egyptian national team in 5 matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring one goal and assisting two others.
The Egyptian national team delegation has just arrived at Alamein International Airport, coming from the United States of America, following the historic achievement achieved by the team by reaching the round of 16 in the World Cup for the first time in history.
