With a massive crowd in attendance... Mali draw with Morocco in a friendly

The Moroccan national team drew 1-1 with its Mali counterpart in a friendly match held between the two teams on Sunday evening at the Grand Stadium in Tangier, as part of both teams' preparations for upcoming competitions.

The match witnessed notable fan attendance, with more than 65,000 spectators gathering in the stands of the Grand Stadium in Tangier to watch the game, which was characterized by excitement and thrill until the final whistle.

The Moroccan team succeeded in opening the scoring in the 35th minute after being awarded a penalty kick, which Abdessamad Ezzalzouli converted into a goal, giving the "Atlas Lions" the advantage before the end of the first half.

The Malian team attempted to get back into the match during the second half, which they achieved in the 77th minute when Gaoussou Kiso Diarra scored the equalizing goal, bringing the match back to square one.

Play continued between the two teams during the remaining minutes in search of a winning goal, but neither managed to find the net again, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.

Morocco had made a strong start in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, securing full points in the first two rounds by beating Gabon 2-0 and then Lesotho 2-0.
