The Belgian national team exited the 2026 World Cup after its defeat to Spain, which qualified for the semi-final stage for only the second time in its history, after 2010.

The Spanish national team defeated its counterpart Belgium two goals to one in the match that brought the two teams together yesterday evening, Friday, at Los Angeles Stadium in the United States of America, as part of the quarter-final stage of the 2026 World Cup.

As for the Belgian national team players, signs of deep sadness appeared on them after failing to repeat the achievement of the 2018 World Cup edition, in which the team reached the semi-final stage.
