Kylian Mbappé, the star of Real Madrid club, directed an important message to the fans of France, after the Roosters failed to win the World Cup this year, and settled for achieving fourth place in the competition.
Mbappé played wonderfully in the World Cup this year, and the 27-year-old won the top scorer award in the competition with 10 goals, but Mbappé's efforts did not help France win the tournament.
The French national team lost to Spain 2-0 in the semi-final, before losing again to England 6-4, in the match to determine the third and fourth places.
Mbappé wrote a letter to the fans of France, which was transmitted by the "Goal" website, where he said: "Thank you, a month full of emotions, a month in which everyone exceeded their limits, a month of pride in wearing the colors of France, a month of passion, above all, the same passion that drives us on the field and that drives you too, whether in front of the screen or in the stands, this is how we lived together an unforgettable story".
He added: "We did not win the tournament title, this is painful and will remain so for some time, I will not lie to you about this, I accept the top scorer title with pride, but it would have been better if we had won the cup".
He explained: "Perhaps we owed you a more beautiful ending, but we do not always choose the end of the story, rather we choose what we present, and we presented everything we had, and this is what we are proud of".
He continued: "Thank you to my teammates, without their efforts, movements, and passes, and without the team spirit that carried us from the first match to the last, I would not have been able to score all these goals, this title belongs to the team as much as it belongs to me".

He went on: "As a child, I dreamed of playing in the World Cup, even if only once, I participated in three tournaments, and won one, and this year, I had the honor of participating in it while wearing the captain's armband, I will never forget that".
He continued: "You stayed up late, sometimes until midnight depending on time differences, to watch us play on the other side of the world, you gathered in your homes, in cafes, with your families and friends, throughout France and beyond".
He added: "Others were present with us in the stadiums, raising flags on their shoulders, children, men and women of all origins and generations, gathered around the same pleasure, the pleasure of participation, this is the power of this sport, and it never let you down, even in the most difficult moments, even when we did not deserve to win, this story was written by millions of hands, not just eleven players on the field, driven by the same enthusiasm".
He continued: "To Didier Deschamps, I have said what I had to say and he knows it, thank you to him, and to all his staff as well, from physiotherapists and chefs and coaches and drivers, and everyone no one sees, without whom all this would not have been possible, and thank you to everyone who welcomed us in the United States throughout this tournament".
He went on: "Football, at its core, remains a game, a game we take seriously, and we work all our lives to try to master it, but it remains a game, with its simple rules that have not changed since we started playing it: the ball, the goal, the desire to score, for this reason it brings us all together with the same passion".
Mbappé concluded: "This World Cup tournament has ended, but the story continues, there will be other matches, other summer or winter evenings, in which we will all gather again in front of this same game, with the same desire, we have not finished playing together, thank you for everything: Kylian Mbappé".
