Including bonuses for individual goals, such as winning the FIFA Best Player award, the annual value reaches about 18.5 million euros, a figure close to the specified salary cap (20 million euros), and this slight adjustment does not pose an obstacle.
The negotiations between the two parties include the total value of the five-year contract, which is where the disagreement between Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior lies, and the Spanish club has presented a new offer that is still below the amounts the player requested last season.
Real Madrid believes that signing bonuses for a player already on the team should be lower than those granted to players transferring on a free basis, and therefore Vinicius and his representatives see the requested amount as much less than what the club would pay if it wanted to sign one of the available players in the market.
