A content creator following Barcelona revealed the main reason behind Hamza Abdelkarim's absence during Barcelona's matches against Elche and Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish football league.
Barcelona secured a clean-sheet 5-0 victory over Elche before defeating Athletic Bilbao last night, earning six points from two matches.
Football analyst "Mhoni Hiyst" posted on his official X page: "Hamza didn't play again, but don't worry, guys. There are still many matches left where he will start getting playing time after Barcelona signs another striker."
He added: "I believe the reason Flick isn't fielding Hamza Abdelkarim is due to the ongoing contract negotiations between Barcelona and his representatives."
He continued: "They don't want to risk Hamza Abdelkarim scoring goals and performing well, which could give his agent leverage to demand better terms during negotiations."
