Trabzonspor is close to completing the signing of Brazilian Fabinho, former Al-Ittihad player, on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.

According to the Turkish network A Spor, the Turkish club has begun official negotiations with Fabinho and reached a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian midfielder to finalize the deal.
The report revealed that Trabzonspor plans to bring Fabinho from Portugal to Istanbul this evening to complete the transfer procedures to the team.
Fabinho became a free agent after the end of his stint with Al-Ittihad, having played 44 matches in all competitions last season, totaling 3,906 minutes, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
The 32-year-old player represented the Brazilian national team at the 2026 World Cup, playing in 3 matches during the tournament.
If the deal is completed, Fabinho will return to playing alongside Mohamed Salah, after the two previously shared a team at Liverpool.
Trabzonspor continues to strengthen its squad in preparation for the new season, following the completion of the Mohamed Salah deal and aiming to compete for domestic and continental titles.
