Trabzonspor is on the verge of officially announcing the signing of a new player in the coming hours, as the Turkish team aims to build a strong squad capable of competing for all trophies this season.
Trabzonspor's summer transfer window was notable this year, following the signing of Mohamed Salah on a free transfer, as the Egyptian international decided to start a new chapter in Turkey after making history with Liverpool.
However, Mohamed Salah will not be the only former Liverpool player to join Trabzonspor this summer, as Fabinho is also set to arrive.
Fabinho arrived in Trabzon today to undergo medical tests and sign his contract, before the Turkish club officially announces the signing of the 32-year-old.
Fabinho expressed his great happiness at moving to Trabzonspor and playing alongside Mohamed Salah once again.

Fabinho said in statements reported by the website '61saat' upon his arrival in Trabzon: "I am very happy. I look forward to playing matches, visiting Turkish cities, and meeting the fans as soon as possible. Now I need to improve physically to be able to contribute to the team."
He added: "Since my contract with Al-Ittihad ended, I have been working alone and hard. Now I can play well for Trabzonspor, and I will improve physically as I train with the team."
He clarified: "I will speak with the coach in the coming period about my role in the team, and after that conversation, I will give my best effort."
Regarding playing with Mohamed Salah, Fabinho concluded: "It is truly wonderful to play alongside Mohamed Salah again. He is not only a great player but also a wonderful person. We played together for five years at Liverpool, and despite achieving all these successes, he still strives hard to give his best for the team. He is also a great person, and it is a very special feeling to be on the same team again after such a long time."
Fabinho played alongside Mohamed Salah for many years at Liverpool, before the midfielder left the Reds in 2023 to sign with Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad in a deal worth nearly 50 million euros.
