Trabzonspor has finalized a new deal during the current summer transfer window, as the Turkish club seeks to significantly strengthen its squad to compete for all trophies this season.
The most notable of Trabzonspor's signings this summer is the free transfer of Mohamed Salah, who has signed a contract until June 2028 after the Egyptian international left Liverpool at the end of last season.
In this context, Fabinho Tavares, the former Liverpool and Al-Ittihad star, is set to be Trabzonspor's next signing in the coming period.
Trabzonspor posted a video on the club's official account on the 'X' platform, showing Fabinho heading to Turkey while wearing the team's jersey.

Fabinho paid tribute to Mohamed Salah in the video posted by Trabzonspor, as the duo is set to reunite in the same team after playing together at Liverpool for several years.
Fabinho said in the video: "A familiar face is waiting for me in Trabzon, and I am on my way."
Fabinho is scheduled to arrive at Trabzon Airport this morning, where he will undergo medical tests, be welcomed by the fans, and sign the contracts, before Trabzonspor officially announces the signing.

Trabzonspor hopes that Fabinho will improve the team's performance in the coming period, as the 32-year-old possesses extensive experience and has played for several clubs, most notably Real Madrid, Monaco, Liverpool, and most recently Al-Ittihad.
Trabzonspor regained its composure and secured a valuable victory over Basaksehir, winning 2-1 last Saturday in the second round of the Turkish league, in a match where Mohamed Salah shone by scoring both goals for his team.
