A new number of teams have exited the 2026 World Cup after the end of the round of 32 matches, this morning, Saturday.

The round of 32 matches in the 2026 World Cup witnessed many strong games, the most notable for Egyptians being the Pharaohs' qualification at the expense of Australia to the round of 16 of the World Cup.

One of the biggest surprises of the 2026 World Cup was Germany's exit from the round of 32 at the hands of Paraguay, which qualified as one of the best 8 teams that finished third in the group stage.

Despite African teams achieving remarkable results in the group stage, with 9 out of 10 participants qualifying, the round of 32 saw 8 teams from the continent eliminated, the first being South Africa against Canada, and the last being Ghana against Colombia.
