Laporta wrote, via his account on the social media site "Instagram" explaining the reason for his absence from accompanying the delegation: "Things have gone well, the heart rhythm disorder has been treated and my heart is beating normally again."
He continued: "I thank all the doctors, nurses, and all members of the medical staff at Barcelona Hospital, led by Dr. Jordi Morillas, very much. They have done a wonderful job."
He added: "In addition to their wisdom and great experience, their human treatment was refined, understanding, full of patience and affection, which honors the medical profession, and this is new evidence that Barcelona and Catalonia also provide distinguished work at the highest levels of quality."
He concluded: "I would like to thank everyone who provided me with support and stood by me from my children, my brothers, my family members, and my friends, thank you very much to all of you, or rather from the bottom of my heart."
