Mohamed Wahbi, the head coach of the Moroccan national team, revealed details of the injury sustained by team player Ismail Saibari during the match against Canada, which took place as part of the 2026 World Cup tournament.
The Moroccan national team succeeded in defeating its Canadian counterpart with a clean three-goal victory in the match that brought the two teams together in the round of 16 of the World Cup, and the match was held at Houston Stadium.
Ismail Saibari was injured by the 22nd minute of the match, prompting the newcomer to Bayern Munich, Germany, to leave the field, and Sofiane Rahimi replaced him.

Mohamed Wahbi, the coach of the Moroccan national team, explained during the press conference after the Atlas Lions' match against Canada, about Ismail Saibari's condition, indicating that the injury he sustained is not serious.
The Moroccan coach said: "Ismail Saibari experienced mild pain in the thigh during the match, and the medical staff intervened immediately to assess and monitor his condition closely."
Mohamed Wahbi added, quoting the newspaper "Al-Montakhab": "The injury currently seems not worrisome, but it requires some caution and rest to avoid any potential aggravation, especially given the intensity of the matches."
The report indicated that Saibari will undergo additional tests in the coming hours or days to determine his final readiness for the anticipated match against France in the World Cup quarter-finals.
