A source denied reports of a meeting between Shawky Gharib, the technical director of the Egyptian Football Association, and Hossam Hassan, coach of the Egyptian national team.
Some reports had circulated in recent hours about a meeting between Shawky Gharib and Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan.
The source told Youm7: "There is no truth to the circulating news regarding a meeting between Shawky Gharib and Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan today."
The source clarified: "The Football Association did not task Shawky Gharib with evaluating the performance of the national team's technical staff, as rumored."
Shawky Gharib holds the position of Technical Director at the Football Association; his primary duties include overseeing the youth and junior national teams.
Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan are expected to meet with Hany Abo Rida, president of the Football Association, to discuss what happened during the Egyptian national team's last training camp.
