A source close to Paris Saint-Germain club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi revealed the truth behind rumors that the latter intends to run for the position of president of the International Federation of Association Football "FIFA" in the coming period.
There are many pressures on the current FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, amid the controversial events that accompanied the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, where the Swiss faced numerous criticisms.
The level of refereeing in the World Cup was extremely poor, in addition to controversial decisions to issue the red card received by the American striker Folarin Balogun and the latter's participation against Belgium in the round of 16 of the competition.

It was reported that Nasser Al-Khelaifi would run in the FIFA presidential elections to be a future successor to Infantino.
