The Egyptian national team's first delegation has begun its return journey to the country, coming from the United States of America, after participating in the 2026 World Cup.
The Egyptian National Aviation Company had operated a special plane the evening before yesterday, Wednesday, heading to the United States of America, in order to transport the team delegation to the country.
The Egyptian national team delegation departed from the city of Atlanta, in the American state of Georgia, at eleven o'clock in the evening on Thursday, Cairo time, four o'clock in the afternoon Atlanta time.
The plane's crew was keen to set up an honor corridor for the players as they boarded their seats on the plane, amid applause for all the players, who were keen to exchange greetings with the crew members.
The trip is scheduled to take more than 12 hours of travel, with the delegation arriving in Alamein at eleven o'clock this morning, Thursday.
The Egyptian authorities had previously decided to organize a popular and official reception to welcome the Egyptian national team delegation at Alamein Airport, and it is also scheduled to organize a honoring ceremony for the players and the technical staff by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian national team had managed to pass the group stage for the first time in the history of the Pharaohs in the World Cup, and the team also managed to reach the round of 16 for the first time as well.
The United States of America is hosting the 2026 World Cup, along with Mexico and Canada, with the participation of 48 teams, for the first time in the history of the tournament, during the period from June 11 to July 19.
