The Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hani Abu Rida, revealed the date for closing the registration window and the end of the summer transfer season, in preparation for the launch of the new season of the Premier League 2026-2027.
And the Football Association decided to close the summer registration window on Saturday, August 15 next, so that the clubs' lists are completed and they prepare to compete in the new season.
The Clubs Association had settled on the start date of the new Egyptian League season, which is one of the days of August 20 or 21 next, with the participation of 20 clubs in the first stage, so that the second stage is divided into 6 teams competing for the title, and 14 teams from which 4 are relegated to the Second Division League.
Ahmed Diab, head of the Clubs Association, had announced earlier that the league champion for the 2026-2027 season will receive a financial reward estimated at 50 million pounds, instead of 5 million pounds.
It is mentioned that Zamalek won the Egyptian League title for the past season 2025-2026, to obtain the local championship for the fifteenth time in its history.
