Sudden turn in Endrick's future file with Real Madrid

Via Btolat

Press reports revealed a sudden shift in the future of Real Madrid player Endrick, who had been strongly linked with the possibility of leaving the Spanish club again during the current summer transfer window.

Endrick had spent the second half of last season on loan with the French side Lyon.

Reports emerged two days ago indicating that Endrick would leave Real Madrid again this summer, as he seeks a move to another team where he can enjoy regular playing time, with Roma and Aston Villa on his radar.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Real Madrid has ruled out any possibility of loaning Endrick during the ongoing summer transfer window, as coach José Mourinho intends to rely on him and sees the potential for him to play a pivotal role next season.

The report added that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez agrees with Mourinho’s view, as he holds Endrick in high regard, and the player himself has accepted the challenge.

It noted that the Brazilian player will have to compete for a starting spot in the lineup, especially since Mourinho was firm about his status, considering him a very important player not only as a central striker but also on the right wing.

It added that the matches Endrick played during the new season’s friendly preparations played a decisive role in Mourinho’s decision.

Real Madrid also recognizes the soundness of Mourinho’s decision, especially given the price the club paid to sign him two years ago—€35 million plus €25 million in add-ons—and the more than €80 million invested in him overall, including transfer fees, commissions, salary, and bonuses.

It further stated that Endrick has not entirely abandoned the idea of leaving Real Madrid on loan in January if he fails to secure regular playing time at the Santiago Bernabéu.
