Turkish club Konyaspor has been linked with signing Imam Ashour, the midfielder of Al Ahly Club and the Egyptian national team, as part of its plan to strengthen its ranks before the start of the new season.
Konyaspor had submitted an offer to obtain the services of Imam Ashour for 4.25 million dollars, and at the same time entered into talks to sign Olivier Ntcham, the player of Turkish Samsunspor.
According to the Turkish website "ahbmedya", Konyaspor reached a near-final agreement to sign Ntcham, and the player emerges as the strongest candidate as an alternative plan.

Konyaspor hopes to reach an agreement to sign the Al Ahly star after submitting a final offer worth 4.25 million dollars, and also contacted an alternative to the Egyptian midfielder to fill any potential void.
Ntcham's transfer deal from Samsunspor will depend on the developments of the talks regarding Imam Ashour, after significant progress was made in the negotiations with the 30-year-old Cameroonian.
Ntcham presented eye-catching levels with Samsunspor, played 94 matches over 3 seasons and contributed by scoring 15 goals and assisting 3 other goals, and has experience and the ability to provide effective offensive contributions and has previously defended the colors of prominent clubs such as Marseille and Celtic and played internationally in 16 matches.
Despite that, Konyaspor's management has set the main goal of strengthening the club's ranks by signing Imam Ashour, and it is expected to turn to the option of signing Ntcham in case of failure to reach an agreement with the Egyptian player.
