Brazilian Marcos Leonardo, Al-Hilal Saudi striker, has become on the verge of returning to Europe once again through Dutch Ajax.

Al-Riyadiya newspaper revealed that Ajax reached a verbal agreement to sign the Brazilian player.
It indicated that the deal will cost Ajax 25 million euros to sign the player, who will sign for a period of 5 seasons.
It clarified that the player obtained approval to undergo the medical examination to complete the transfer, following the officials' agreement on all details.
This comes at a time when the player's name had previously been linked to a transfer to the ranks of Italian Fiorentina and Portuguese Porto this summer.
Marcos was close to joining the ranks of Brazilian Flamengo in the past winter transfer market, and also Atletico Madrid, but the negotiations stopped and he remained with Al-Hilal.
Marcos, aged 23, played 82 matches wearing the Al-Hilal jersey, during which he scored 48 goals and provided 5 assists in all competitions.
Leonardo joined from Benfica to Al-Hilal for 40 million euros with a contract extending for 5 seasons.
Some reports had previously indicated that Saudi Al-Hilal is working on making several changes to the list of foreign players in preparation for the new season under the leadership of Italian Simone Inzaghi.
Ajax will participate next season in the UEFA Europa Conference League after finishing fifth in the standings table of the past season.
