The newspaper "Sport" reported on a new crisis faced by a Real Madrid player, who has been absent from his team's lineup since the start of the season due to injury.
Real Madrid has been missing several players since the beginning of this season due to injuries, including Raúl Asencio, Rodrygo, Thiago Pizarro, Éder Militão, and Ferland Mendy.
Sport mentioned that Raúl Asencio got involved in a problem after committing a traffic violation, following his admission to driving under the influence of alcohol in southern Gran Canaria, Spain.
It added that the incident dates back to August 16 last year, in the area of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, where police officers stopped Asencio during a traffic check. The player then admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol during a summary trial held in the municipality of Gran Canaria, resulting in a fine of €14,400 and an eight-month suspension of his driving license for the Real Madrid defender.
It clarified that Asencio was not driving recklessly and had not been involved in any previous traffic accidents, but his blood alcohol level reached 0.90 milligrams/liter, which exceeds the permitted limit of 0.60 milligrams/liter, constituting a crime against road safety in Spain.

Sport further stated that Asencio will appear in court again in a few days, on Thursday, September 3, Friday, September 4, and Monday, September 7, as the player is implicated, along with three former Real Madrid players, in the distribution of recorded pornographic videos.
Asencio was involved in a pornographic video distribution case in 2023, but reports indicate that the player is innocent of this case, as he did not personally participate in these videos nor record them. However, the Public Prosecution confirms that the Real Madrid defender shared one of the videos with a third party, knowing that the images in these clips were taken without the consent of the young women involved, with these events taking place at the Amadores Hotel.
The newspaper continued, explaining that the Public Prosecution is seeking a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for Asencio on charges of violating privacy, with the possibility of the charges being dropped if the player apologizes to the victims during the trial.
The victims accepted apologies from the other defendants and received compensation, but legal proceedings in the case are still ongoing due to the nature of the crime.
The former Real Madrid trio, Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodríguez, and Andrés García, who are implicated in the case with Asencio, face the possibility of a four-year and seven-month prison sentence, as they are charged with distributing child pornography, given that one of the victims was a minor at the time of the incident.
