The technical director of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, announced the starting lineup to play the final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup edition on Sunday evening against Argentina.
The Spanish national team meets its counterpart, the Argentina national team, in the final of that edition of the World Cup, on "MetLife" Stadium.
Spain had won in the group stage against Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, and drew with Cape Verde, then won against Austria in the round of 32 and Portugal in the round of 16, followed by a victory over Belgium in the quarter-finals and France in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Argentina won in the group stage against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan, then triumphed over Cape Verde in the round of 32 and Egypt in the round of 16, followed by a victory over Switzerland in the quarter-finals and England in the semi-finals.
