Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala, president of Ge club competing in the second division, revealed his return to playing with his club.
Shikabala retired at the end of the 2024 season after a career spanning 20 years.
Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala said via MBC Masr 2 channel: "I will return to the pitches through Ge club next January."
He added: "My friends are insisting that I play for Ge club."
Shikabala assumed the presidency of Ge club following his retirement from football.
In Shikabala's final season with Zamalek, he won the Egypt Cup title against Pyramids FC.
According to Transfermarkt network, Shikabala played 393 matches wearing Zamalek's jersey, scoring 70 goals and providing 88 assists during that period.
His journey with the team began on January 16, 2003, when he scored the only winning goal in a match against Ghazl El Mahalla in the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup.
Shikabala achieved 18 titles with Zamalek, becoming the most decorated player in the club's history, which made him a legendary icon for the White Castle fans.
